Cycling is a global sport that remains one of the most popular forms of mobility due to its sustainable component, accessibility and proven positive impact on health and well-being, and because of all of the above, cycling has also been closely connected with recreational vehicles and caravanning for many years; the bicycle (with or without a drive) is still the most common form of "last mile mobility" for modern nomads, and I believe that the two forms of mobility will remain closely linked in the future as well.

The cycling club from Novo mesto, which has been successfully creating an inspiring sports story for two decades under the general sponsorship of Adria Mobil, is undoubtedly an important ambassador of the Adria Mobil company and the Adria brand, as on the one hand it implements the aspect of the company's social responsibility, and on the other hand it contributes to our promotion and reputation on the international level. At the same time, the club is a generator of young talents and the organizer of several cycling races, including the Tour of Slovenia cycling race, which is also an important aspect of the international promotion of both Slovenia and the companies that support this cycling spectacle.

I sincerely congratulate the entire team of the Adria Mobil Cycling Club for all the achievements and results so far, and in this year, when the Adria brand celebrates its 60th anniversary, I wish the entire team many competitive and organizational successes - with hard work, ambitious goals and a strong team, even the boldest dreams can be achieved.

Dear Cyclists, Club Members, Sponsors, and Friends of the Cycling Club,

The Adria Mobil Cycling Club has an outstanding tradition of developing cycling, organizing prestigious cycling events, and achieving remarkable results. The credit for this goes to the motivated team of club management and coaches, who draw strength from the vision of developing the Adria Mobil Cycling Club, based on the club’s values that we all live by: teamwork, tolerance, health, trust, a positive attitude toward life, competitiveness, fairness, environmental awareness, and dedication to the club. These values form the foundation for the continued growth and success of our club.

We can proudly reflect on our achievements in 2024. Our competitors have achieved excellent results in all categories and at all competitions. We are proud of every podium finish and every placement of our cyclists, but most notably, we celebrate the incredible achievement at the Junior World Championship, where Nejc Peterlin won a bronze medal in the Scratch Race on the track in Luoyang, China. The results our competitors achieve in track cycling confirm the value of the velodrome sports facility that we have at the Olympic Center in Novo Mesto.

On the organizational front, we successfully hosted numerous high-profile events. We celebrated the 30th edition of the Tour of Slovenia, which is led with dedication and excellence by the race director, Mr. Bogdan Fink, alongside members of the organizing and technical committees, as well as the many volunteers who contribute to the event’s success. We are also proud of the Kids Tour, a stage race inspired by the Tour of Slovenia, which provides young and beginner cyclists with their first racing experiences.

All these achievements serve as a foundation and motivation for shaping the club’s vision for the coming years – both in competitive cycling, event organization, and the development of our cycling school. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who collaborates with the cycling club in any way – without your support, these results would not be possible. A special thanks goes to our sponsors, who enable us to work professionally and achieve outstanding results. We also extend our gratitude to the Ministry of Economy, Tourism, and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovenian Tourist Board for their cooperation in organizing top-tier international events.

Thank you for your passionate support of our cyclists on all roads and race tracks where they compete

In the calendar year 2025, the cycling club Adria Mobil from Novo Mesto has reached another milestone: the company Adria Mobil d.o.o. has been the club’s general sponsor for twenty years. On behalf of all cyclists and everyone involved, we sincerely thank you for your support of cycling as a sport. The trend of excellent results from previous seasons continued last year as well, and we added another medal to our collection from world championships – a bronze on the velodrome.

For the first time in a long while, the continental team will be entirely Slovenian. There were several reasons for this decision, but the main guiding principles were team cohesion and, ultimately, results. We face a demanding race schedule, and the gap between continental teams and the best teams in the world, which we encounter at the National Championship and the Tour of Slovenia, is currently significant. However, with dedication, hard work, and motivation, we believe that we will narrow this gap in the future and that strong results will follow.

The number of young girls and boys joining the club is not declining—they are enthusiastic, and the training sessions and hours spent working on the Novo Mesto velodrome are already showing positive effects. We are convinced that this is yet another success story of Novo Mesto and Slovenian cycling, one that began back in 1996 but was temporarily halted due to infrastructure challenges.

As we enter the new season, I would like to express my gratitude to the club's management board and its president, Marko Lekše. I also wish all cyclists a successful and healthy season.
