Anti-Doping
statement

Doping is the use of banned artificial performance-enhancing drugs or procedures that affect the physical and mental abilities of the competitor and typically also have very serious side effects. Furthermore, doping goes against the very essence of sport, its goals and ideals, and is directed against providing the same competitive opportunities for all athletes. Doping tarnishes the general image of sport and sets a bad example for young people. Sports should promote solidarity and humanity, and should be used as a means of pursuing humanitarian goals.

The fight against doping is based on two fundamental principles of ethics: treatment of others (fair play) and treatment of oneself (being responsible for one’s own health).

The use of doping in any form is strictly prohibited by the International Olympic Committee, the National Anti-Doping Commission (NAK), the International Cycling Union (UCI) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

The Adria Mobil Cycling Team accepts the fight against doping as a fundamental underpinning of its sports philosophy, morality and ethics, and will therefore consistently respect all the rules of national and international institutions that strongly condemn doping. Furthermore, the use of performance-enhancing drugs (doping) is severely penalised in accordance with the disciplinary rules of the Adria Mobil Cycling Team.
