Žiga Horvat gets 3 seconds reward
Team coach Boštjan Mervar was right about his predictions for the second stage of Czech Cycling Tour – stage winner was decided in the sprint finish. Irish Sam Bennett – we know him thanks to two victories on Tour of Slovenia – won the stage and took the overall lead. Adria’s best cyclist of the day was Gašper Katrašnik in 16th.

Stage from Olomouc to Frydek-Mistek was 200 km long and as expected we saw a lot of breakaways. Group of six escaped quickly after the start, two of them came back to the main group quickly. Four riders however persisted for bigger part of the stage, but the stage was under the control of Elkov - Author Cycling and Bora-Hansgrohe throughout the day. Bora and its rider Sam Bennett are now in the lead.

Adria Mobil’s Žiga Horvat won the intermediate sprint 40 km till the finish and with the time beneficiation he is now 39th overall. Third stage is also very hard and we again expect changes in the lead.
