Adria Mobil goes to Switzerland

Adria Mobil goes to Switzerland
Adria Mobil’s elite squad will race the 68th edition of Gran Premio Città di Lugano in Switzerland this Sunday. The first category race has a very long tradition and the competition will be extremely strong; there are 22 teams on the start list, including couple of ProTour teams.

Cycling club Adria Mobil is a regular participant on this race. Last year’s edition was canceled due to the snow conditions, however we got some great results one year before that. Matej Gnezda had an excellent day, finishing fourth, while Matej Mugerli was tenth. The victory went to Italian Capecchi. Before the Sunday’s race we asked Matej Gnezda on his memories on the race and what is his advice for the Adria’s riders.

Matej Gnezda: “I have a bitter-sweet memory on that race. I was one of the strongest riders towards the end of the race. Then I hit a curb just 400 meters before the finish line and lost a lot of speed. I had to continue with hard gear and face wind. Without that I had a real chance for at least second place. My advice to the Adria Mobil team would be to ride up in front and save energy, since this is an elimination race. Group will be smaller with each lap and only the best will go to the end.”
