Rajović takes third in Umag
By now a classical race with start and finish in Umag in Croatian Istria was decided by a long escape of just three cyclists. Dušan Rajović won the sprint finish for third and partly satisfied Adria Mobil Cycling’s high ambitions.

Sports Director Srečko Glivar decided for different tactics for this race and send team’s six youngest riders to the start of Umag Trophy. Rajović, Katrašnik, Grošelj, Božič, Jarc in Horvat didn’t have easy job on this UCI 1.2 race, there were 28 teams with 170 cyclists on the race! It’s a perfect event for last test of the form for the main part of the season.

Three cyclists escaped early on, two of them managed to get all the way to the finish and won the race. Team Adria Mobil Cycling was leading the chasing group, but it reacted to late, maybe we could even say that this happed due to lack of experiences in this kind of situations. Others team didn’t help with the chase and so we saw the battle for third in the finish sprint. Dušan Rajović again showed his strength and stepped on the podium once again.

Norwegian Krister Hagen (Team Coop) won the race ahead of Brit Tom Baylis (One Pro Cycling), the gap between them was 19 seconds. Main group followed around ten seconds behind Baylis.
