Žiga Horvat takes green on Istrian Spring Trophy
Three riders escaped on the last stage of the 2018 Istrian Spring Trophy, among them was also Adria Mobil’s Žiga Horvat. Escape did not succeed, but Žiga did won the mountains classification and took the green jersey. Radoslav Rogina was 7th overall!

156 kilometers long stage from Pazin to Umag took place in the rainy conditions. Žiga Horvat was in the breakaway of three riders, and again he showed great fighting spirits. Escapees already had a gap of three minutes, but that was not enough for the final success. But Žiga did get new set of points on mountains finish and secured green jersey.

Race finished with the sprint, but not for all riders. There was a big group crash about 800 meters till the finish, Dušan Rajović was also among the riders that crashed; Adria didn’t have a cyclists in the battle for highest places on the stage.

Žiga Horvat won green jersey, but we also need to congratulate Radoslav Rogina for seventh place overall. We’re also excited about the fighting spirits of the whole team, with a little bit of luck the team would bring home even more trophies.

Emils Liepins (One Pro Cycling) won the last stage of the race, Krister Hagen (Team Coop) won overall.
