Rogina third on one of the queen mountain stages
Colombian riders won short, but very hard fourth stage around lake Qinghai. Only one that could make a stand against them was Radoslav Rogina (Adria Mobil).

4th stage of Tour of Qinghai (Guide  -  Longyangxia) mixed the overall rankings and we now have overall favorites on the top of overall rankings. Stage was only 100 kilometers long, but very hard, especially due to 30 kilometers long climb.

Colombian professional team Manzana Postobon was dictating the pace for the whole day and the completely destroyed the peloton. Three leaders came to the top of 3.435 meters high pass, two Colombians and Radoslav Rogina.

Trio fought for the victory later on the last climb that started 15 kilometers ahead of the finish line. Hernan Aguirre made an attack and won just three seconds ahead of his rivals.

Radoslav Rogina was third, and is now also third in the overall standings; still in the contest for the victory.

Radoslav Rogina: “Today’s stage developed very good, especially if I consider that I didn’t felt at my best yesterday… I’m very pleased with my result. First two racers are the strongest climbers on this race and for now I can’t beat them. But we’ll continue to attack and try to surprise them in the following stages.”
