Rogina 3rd overall, Rajović is advancing
Radoslav Rogina is still in excellent 3rd place after the 7th stage of Tour of Qinghai Lake. Dušan Rajović is also faster and faster, he was 6th today in the sprint finish.

Romanian Michael Grosu (Nippo - Vini Fantini - Europa Ovini) is winner of the 7th stage of the race in the Quinghai Lake area. He was fastest in the sprint finish of the 169 kilometers long stage from Qilian to Menyuan, and took his second victory on the race. Dušan Rajović (Adria Mobil Cycling) was 6th.

We saw a breakaway of three riders earlier in the stage, our Žiga Horvat was also in that trio. They managed to create a gap of just under five minutes, but that was not enough. Teams with sprinters were well organized and the day finished with the sprint on the huge 8-lane avenue. Small details decided on the winner and luck of on the side of Romanian today.

There are no changes in the overall standings, Colombian Hernan Aguirre is on the good way to final victory. It seems that he can only loose if he crashes or gets ill, all the hard stages are behind us and we’ll see battles for stage victories from now on. Adria Mobil will go to the second part of the race with positive spirits, Radoslav Rogina is sitting in solid 3rd place overall.

8th stage will be the longest on the race – 237 kilometers long. After that the teams will also have to do 220 kilometers long transfer to the hotel. It’s going to be a long day… very long.
