Team Adria Mobil officially launched

Adria Mobil Cycling riders have a busy schedule, but they took time for a trip to Ljubljana and official team launch. They revealed their ambitions for this already successful season to the Slovenian sports media.

Avto Triglav, official Fiat dealer and a big supporter of the team, hosted the event with introduction of all riders, new Team Manager and bikes for 2014 season. Biggest change for the team was departure of very successful team manager Milan Eržen and introduction of new manager Boštjan Mervar. Boštjan is an ex professional with most victories for the Adria Mobil team, so he knows what it takes to win a race. He was also Eržen’s assistant in the past, which gave him even more experiences.

Core of the team remains the same for the new season. New names in the team are Domen Novak and David Per, they were both riding in the Adria’s junior selections and now they got a place in the elite team.

Last season was amazing, with victory on Tour de Slovenie and 20th place on the team time trial on the World Championships. Mojca Novak, club president, also stressed the importance of the work with young riders and noted that team took over 70 victories in all categories combined. This is real proof of a good work.

New team manager Boštjan Mervar had the honor to talk about plans for the season: “I have full confidence in our riders, they have lots of experience and I know that they will do right moves in the decisive moments. Our priorities are first category races, which is quite expected for the quality of our team. We want to remain best Slovenian team and be on the podium on Tour de Slovenie. After couple of seasons we also want a National Champion title. We also aim high on the team race on the World Champs.”

Boštjan Mervar has leaded the team in the three early season events and already showed that he’s got what it takes to be on top of the podium. He’s got support of the management and the trust of riders, so we can expect more good results in the season.
