Dušan Rajović takes victory on Rhodes
Adria Mobil Cycling is having a fantastic start of the season! Today’s hero is Dušan Rajovič who won 186,3 kilometers long International Rhodes Grand Prix on the Greek island of Rhodes. He was fastest in the sprint finish and took his first victory of the season.

Today is a special day for our team captain Radoslav Rogina, as he’s celebrating 40th birthday! He wanted good result for his special day, which is why he went in the long breakaway, and was together with three more riders on the brink of success. But unfortunately for him that finished in the very last kilometers.

But that didn’t spoiled the mood in the team, the outcome of the race was in fact wonderful! Dušan Rajović finished what Radoslav started and won the sprint finish. Dušan had this to say after the race: “Race was long and vibrant. We went to inspect the course on Wednesday and we knew where the most dangerous parts are. We had the race under control today. Breakaway happened half-way down the race, our Radoslav was also in that group. We’re working in the back and covered all attacks. It seemed like they will make it all the way to the finish, but on the end they were caught in the last two kilometers. Guys did a train for me and prepared a perfect position for me, so I was able to take my first victory of the season. Team is working as one and is very motivated, which is why we already look forward to the next race on the island.”

Team will stay on Rhodes and race on International Tour of Rhodes, three day stage race that starts on Friday.
