Istrian Spring Trophy (UCI 2.2) starts on Thursday
First stage rage of the season for Cycling club Adria Mobil starts on Thursday in Umag, Croatia. The team won last year’s edition of Istrian Spring Classic and Matej Mugerli now aims for two in a row.

Istrian Spring Classic is a race that continues the tradition of famous stage race “Adriatic roads” that took riders through Dalmacia. In 2006 the name was changed to Istrian Spring Classic and the name held to date. Slovenian cyclists won 9 of 14 editions, Adria Mobil won the race three times. In 2000 with Vladimir Miholjevič, in 2004 with Jure Zrimšek and last year with Matej Mugerli.

Organizers change second stage and skipped the climb to Oprtalj, but the race is going to be very hard nevertheless. Race could decide in second stage, which will end with climb to Motovun. About 200 riders from 34 teams will be on the start. Adria Mobil will race with following riders: Matej Mugerli, Radoslav Rogina, Klemen Štimulak, Kristijan Fajt, Aljaž Hočevar and Domen Novak.
