Great start on Tour of Bihor
Sports director Branko Filip send us a short report from Romania: “Our tactics were clear, we’re racing for Marko Kump, just like we plan to do on the opening stage of Tour of Slovenia. Very strong side wind was forecasted for today, so we’re planning to keep the pace high and break the peloton, but there was no wind and we all stayed together. Only two riders managed to escape, but with the help of Androni Giocattoli - Sidermec & Elkov - Author Cycling Team we kept the race under control. There were a lot of road works in the last 20 kilometers and we destroyed at least 3 carbon wheels, maybe even 4. Our team did great regardless and executed a perfect sprint. Marko Kump & David Per combination is particularly good and they deserved today’s victory and fourth place.”
Saturday will feature a double program with short, on 2 kilometers long time trial in the morning and 120 kilometers long stage in the afternoon. There will be one big climb to a 1300 meters high pass, so the climbers will take the first row. We expect the most from Radoslav Rogina and Žiga Grošelj.
