Marko Kump started and finished the season with a victory
Grand Prix Avtomojster in Podsmreka was the last Slovenian road cycling race of the 2019 season. Team Adria Mobil took fifth consecutive victory on this race, this year’s edition was 70 kilometers long. Marko Kump won the sprint finish, but we’re also glad to see success of our Boštjan Murn, who won his last junior race.

Marko Kump started the season with the victory on Grand Prix Slovenian Istria back in February. He dominated the season on the national events and won almost all that he attended. Marko also won the last race of the season on the traditional event in Podsmreka.

This is a special race for the juniors as they can race together with the elite riders. Boštjan Murn took full advantage of this as he took the top-10 spot and won the junior category. Boštjan after the race: “I’m glad that I won my last junior race, I’ll now make a switch to U23 men. I was highly motivated for this race as we’re racing together with elite riders and also the riders that will be my teammates in the next season. I was honored to finish the race in the breakaway with some of the best Slovenians, including Tadej Pogačar and Jan Tratnik.”
