Kump and Brajkovic aiming high in Turkey

Adria Mobil Cycling is already in Turkey, where they will be part of the UCI 2.1 Tour of Antalya, which will take place from Thursday to Sunday. Marko Kump and Jani Brajkovic are the main weapons.

Adria Mobil Cycling will start the season 2020 in Turkey, where strong competition and some big names await. Among them will be WorldTour team Israel Start-Up Nation, as well as Alpecin Fenix and winner of 2.Pro race Tour of Langkawi Danilo Celano. 

»This year the race is in UCI 2.1 category, so we know there will be some very strong riders on the start line. We have raced in Turkey last year, so we know what we can expect. We will race with Marko Kump, Jani Brajkovic, David Per, Gorazd Per, Gasper Katrasnik and Ziga Horvat. Brajkovic will be our leader in Saturday’s queen stage with an uphill finish. For the other stages we have prepared different options,« says Branko Filip, sports director of Adria Mobil in Turkey. 

Stages 1, 2. and 4 will probably finish with bunch sprint, so Marko Kump is aiming to be up there with the best. »I know there will be some very big names in Turkey, but we are going there with one goal only - to win. I know we will try our best, we have a group of very strong guys and we are a close group, so I think that is what sets us apart,« Kump summarised his ambitions for the start of the season.
