Matej Mugerli fourth in Ardennes
Lukasz Wisniowski from Poland is the winner of the 40th edition of Circuit des Ardennes stage race. Adria Mobil’s Matej Mugerli was second in the pre-last stage and fourth overall.

Riders had to go twice on the start line on the last day of the race. Morning stage finished with the Slovenian battle, in which Grega Bole prevailed as a winner, while Matej Mugerli was second. Both of them were also very active on the afternoon stage in which they escaped from the main peloton. They were caught towards the end, but they still managed to finish the race in the top ten.

Matej Mugerli explains what happened on the last day of the race: “I felt excellent on the morning stage. We finished with the 10% climb, and I was just a little bit short of victory. In the afternoon we did everything we could to improve on our overall position. Štimulak and I escaped, after a while we were caught by Bole and the race leader. However the escape didn’t go according to my plans, the peloton bridged the gap. Little details decided the race in this large group. I didn’t won, but I’m still happy with the race and my performance.”
