3 MEDALS FROM OUR BOYS IN PORTUGAL

3 MEDALS FROM OUR BOYS IN PORTUGAL

Anadia in Portugal was the venue for a two-day international track competition - Trofeu Internacional de Pista Artur Lopes. Our boys were also on the Iberian Peninsula with the Slovenian national team: Mai Prevejšek, Nejc Peterlin, Vid Murn, Tim Mervar, Anže Skok, Josip Radaković and Jure Zrimšek. In the strong competition, the first day of the competition, on Saturday, impressed the juniors, who won the first four places in the Scratch Race discipline (final finish). Bor Ebner won, Mai Prevejšek was second, Bastian Petrič was third and Tim Mervar was fourth. Nejc Peterlin and Vid Murn qualified for the final of the royal Madison discipline and, after a lot of bad luck (Vid Murn's fall and then a puncture on his bike), took 13th place. Yesterday we were happy again, as the juniors ensured that the victory podium after the points race was once again completely in the Slovenian, green color. Tim Mervar won, Mai Prevejšek was second and Bastian Petrič was third. Bor Ebner took fifth place. The members competed in the Omnium. Nejc Peterlin, Anže Skok and Vid Murn finished their performances in the qualifications. The closest to qualifying for the final was Nejc Peterlin, who finished in 10th place in his qualification group (the best 7 from each of the three qualification groups qualified for the final).
