Tomaž Nose will not race Tour of Slovenia

Tomaž Nose will not race Tour of Slovenia
Tomaž Nose, one of the main pillars of the team Adria Mobil Cycling in the past thirteen years, will not race Tour of Slovenia in this season. He injured his pelvis and broke couple of ribs on the last training before the Christmas, and for now he is not ready for such a great challenge.

Nose is now in his thirteen season as an elite rider. He was member of the Slovenian team throughout his career, except for the 2004 and 2005 season, when he was member of Phonak Hearing Systems. He entered Tour of Slovenia ten times! He won the race in 2007 – on that race he took the race ahead of Vincenzo Nibali, one of the best riders in the World. He also has three stage victories on this race. Last year he was a vital part of the team and a great help to overall winner Radoslav Rogina.

Tomaž Nose: “Tour of Slovenia was always my main goal of the season. It’s home race, organized by home team and it means a great deal to all of us. I always had lots of supporters on this race, and this was another reason why I wanted to perform and have a good result. It would also be my main goal for this season, and I would do my best to finish the race among the best. Every year I had my focus on the podium, but getting there is hard with such a strong competition. I will not race this year, but I will go on every stage as one of the fans.”
