Klemen Štimulak wins Giro del Medio Brenta
Adria Mobil’s rider Klemen Štimulak won the 29th edition of Giro del Medio Brenta in Italy (category UCI 1.2). His victory was something waiting for happen, since he was very active on single every race of the season, and with his fighting spirit it was just the matter of time. This is 9th victory for the Adria Mobil Cycling in this season!

Riders set of to the 179 km long race with very high rhythm – after first hour of racing the average speed was over 49km/h. Four riders escaped after the climb on Rubbio: Stanislau Bazhkou (Bulgaria), Tilegen Maidos (Kazahstan), Pavel Ptashkin (Russia) and Adria Mobil’s Primož Roglič. The breakaway group got much bigger after the last climb of the day, on Monte Corno, when five more riders joined them. Among them was also Klemen Štimulak. Klemen attacked 10 km till the finish line and managed to do a solo break. That is first victory of his career and ninth for Adria Mobil Cycling in 2014 season!

Klemen Štimulak: “We managed to cross the bridge to the breakaway group after the last mountain finish, my teammate Primož Roglič was also in that group. I said to him that I will attack at the first chance. That happened 10 km till the finish line and I managed to take a solo win.”

Team Adria Mobil will race in Romania on the Sibiu Cycling Tour at the end of the week. This is first category race and a good chance to secure enough points for the team to enter the UCI Road World Championships.
