Marko Kump finished with victory – will he also start with one?
It starts for real on Sunday! Adria Mobil team will start the new season, with the new race Grand Prix Laguna in Poreč, Croatia. Riders will not have an easy start of the season, they will have to face an extremely hard, 160km long course.

Adria will have eight riders on the start of this race. Team manager Boštjan Mervar will only leave Kristjan Fajt at home; he had a special request to start the season a little bit later. Adria Mobil’s management is very excited ahead of the start of the season – a lot has to do with the return of Marko Kump, who was riding for Tinkoff-Saxo in the last two seasons. His last race for the previous team was GP Avtomojster in Slovenia, a race where he won with a lot of confidence. Soon we will know if he will start the season in the same way he finished last one.

Marko Kump ahead of the Sunday’s race: “I’m finishing my preparations on the Canary Islands and for now everything goes as planed. I escaped the bed weather at home and so I didn’t have to miss one single training. I’m ready for the first race and I can’t wait to start the season, again in the Adria’s jersey.”

Team manager Boštjan Mervar: “First race of the season is always something special, since you never know exactly how good your form is. We were training hard, without any issues, but you never know…”

Team for the GP Laguna: Marko Kump, Radoslav Rogina, Klemen Štimulak, Primož Roglič, Domen Novak, David Per, Josip Rumac & Jon Božič.

For Jon this will be his first race in the elite category, before the race he said: “I look forward to my first elite race and I hope I will be a great help to our team. I was training hard and have good feelings.”
