Adria Mobil Cycling is ready for new season

The person missing on the presentation was Radoslav Rogina, captain of the team. He had and unfortunate crash on the race in Umag and will be out of racing for a month; now he is already recovering at home. That was the only thing that spoiled this important team presentation that went in hand with 50th anniversary of the Adria brand and 10th anniversary of the sponsorship of this team. It is also a year that city of Novo mesto celebrates 650 years of existence, so it was us to mayor Gregor Macedoni to open this event.

Every rider of the team talked about their mission and goals for the season; the members of 2015 pro-continental team are: Jon Božič, Kristijan Fajt, Marko Kump, Domen Novak, David Per, Primož Roglič, Josip Rumac and Klemen Štimulak. It was up to Boštjan Mervar, team manager, to sum all the team goals. The riders very selected very carefully, mostly due to the fact that the team is small in the view of the number of riders. There are only nine of them all together, so they will have to split the tasks and responsibilities very carefully on different events. There are about 40 international races in the schedule, two of them (in Croatia and Azerbaijan) will be broadcasted live over the international channels and are very important from the view of the team and sponsors. Team will also again focus on getting as much UCI points as possible, and try to qualify for the UCI Road World Championships. The most important race on the home ground is 22nd edition of Tour of Slovenia, that will take place in June, another very important race is new event Grand Prix Adria Mobil, that will take place on 5th April in the area around the teams base. This race will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Adria Mobil, but it is also part of the UCI calendar.

Team director Bogdan Fink revealed more details about the race, but also took this opportunity to thanks Adria Mobil for the long-term support of the team. Official team vehicle supplier is Avto Triglav, distributor of Fiat, so it was up to company’s director Damijan Vuk to congratulate the team for the amazing results  publicly announce the future commitment with the team. Sonja Gole, general manager of Adria Mobil, said that the team and the company share same values and have a partnership program that is foundation for future common goals.
