Marko Kump easily to 5th victory of the season
First leg of the race Belgrade – Banja Luka developed in hard windy conditions, it was also cold for the whole 165 km. Marko Kump finished the race in his own style and won – just like in 2012, when he won for the first time in Brčko.

Road race Belgrade – Banja Luka has two stages, or better said – two races. First one goes from Belgrade to Brčko and this is the race that Marko Kump won. Adria Mobil Cycling riders had the race under control for the whole time and nobody managed to create a big gap. The group came together to the finish line and after that it was up to Marko Kump to take the race. He won with confidence and said: “I never won so easily. I guess the cold and wing got the best out of competition.”

Marko Kump is in fantastic form, which is great news with Tour of Croatia just behind the corner. The race is one of the biggest in the team’s calendar; the race starts on Wednesday in Makarska.

Race in Belgrade was also important for Radoslav Rogina, who came back in racing after a longer brake (due to the injury). He was very tired after the race and said: “I knew that it’s going to be hard, but I didn’t expect such a hard race. Cycling is a sport where rests are not allowed and I will have to work hard to get back in the old form.”

Among the spectators was also Trle Hajrudin from Bosnia, one of the biggest fans and experts on Adria Mobil Cycling. This ex national team member commented the race in his own style: “I came to say hello to heroes… Slovenia creates most talents if you consider the number of residents!”

Andi Bajc won the second race from Teslič to Banja Luka. He was the best in the group of eight escapees, that took away in the second part of the 200 km long race. Adria Mobil had different tactic for this day and didn’t try to bring Kump to the finish sprint; the next big race is very close and riders need to save strengths. Kristjan Fajt was in fourth, which is still a very decent result.
