Third place for Marko Kump on stage one

Radoslav Rogina: “The stage was very demanding. The pace was very high for the whole day, but there was always one of the better riders that was left behind and pulled the peloton back together. I was suffering for the whole day, but still I felt better than one week ago.”
Marko Kump also commented on his performance today: “Hard day!! Up and down for the whole time. Chaos on the end. Turn behind every turn, slippery road, traffic on the road. We had roundabout and another four corners in the last 400 meters. I was in good position, but we thought that there is much more from the last corner to the finish line, but it was just over 100 meters. I couldn’t overtake any more riders and I was where I was. I felt great and maybe I could finish higher in different situation. I’m slightly disappointed and angry at the same time, but we will have more chances and I will race every stage as a race on its own.”
Marko Kump will have new chance very soon – finish sprint is also expected for the second stage from Šibenik to Zadar.
