Ismayilli is a lucky place for Primož Roglič
Adria Mobil’s Primož Roglič has did it again – again he won on the stage from Baku to Ismayilli, the second stage of Tour d’Azerbaijan. With the stage victory he took the leader’s jersey from his teammate Marko Kump, winner of first stage.

Primož Roglič won again 364 days after his first victory. Last year he came to the finish line with Australian William Clark, this year he was about half a minute faster than Crhis Horner and Matej Mugerli.

Second stage was one of the hardest on this tour and Primož is on a good way to his first overall victory; he has an excellent team behind him and that helps a lot!

Primož Roglič: “The whole team was working perfectly, so a big thanks to the guys. I attacked as planed on the last climb and I managed to get away and finish the race with a big gap. Last 35 kilometers were very long, but somehow I managed it.”

Team manager Boštjan Mervar was also happy with the outcome: “Race was developing according to our wishes and I’m very pleased because of that. We took the advantage of the situation and won a very crucial stage.”
