Primož Roglič stays in the leader’s jersey
Third stage of Tour d’Azerbaijan is finished and Adria Mobil’s Primož Roglič is still in the lead. Stage with start and finish in Gabala was 177 km long, the winner of the stage was Joshua Edmondson from United Kingdom. Adria’s riders were successful against all attacks and brought the whole group to the finish. Marko Kump was second.

Team captain Radoslav Rogina described today’s stage: “Everything went as planed. We left group of six riders to escape. Then it took us 40 km to form a chasing group and we worked hard on that. After that it was easier, we controlled the escapees at about 3 minutes. In the last 35 km the other teams took over the chase, they had an interest to bring peloton to the finish. All in all it was a hard day.”

Primož Roglič, leading rider on the race, said: “Guys had the race under control for the whole time, they did a really good job. Thanks team! Let’s go on!!!”
