Adria Mobil Cycling in China
A person might expect that team Adria Mobil Cycling will already take a vacation – they fulfill their main goal of the season and won Tour of Slovenia and record breaking 15 victories. But that is not the case, cyclist are already on the venue of one of the hardest and nicest races in the world – Tour of Qinghai Lake in China.

Team accepted the invitation from the Chinese cycling federation and traveled to Tour of Qinghai Lake, Horse Class category stage race. The race is very hard and very beautiful at the same time, but not because of the 13 stages, but due to the high altitude. Some of the stages take place over 3000 meters above sea level. The team is not used to this kind of conditions, but it’s a favorite for the overall victory regardless. Radoslav Rogina and Kristjan Fajt have nice memories on this race, they both won the stage there and they both wore yellow jersey; but in both cases that was before they joined Adria Mobil. Race will start on Sunday with the opening stage on the streets of Xining.

The race goes around Qinghai Lake, the largest lake in PR China, a salty lake with the surface of 4186 km². The lake is located on the Tibetan plateau and hold 119,6 km3 of water. The lake has a special appeal due to the rapeseed, that flourish just in the time of the race, and is pretty much the only culture that prospers on that altitude.
