“Only” third place for Marko Kump
Team Adria Mobil continues to perform on the Tour of Qinghai Lake in China. Stage four was on the program today, and Russian Ivan Savitskiy took the victory. Marko Kump made a tactical mistake, but was still third. Radoslav Rogina in third in the overall standings.

Team manager Boštjan Mervar finally got an internet connection and could send us his report about the last couple of days: “We lost the leader’s jersey yesterday, which is almost a relief if we want to take the final victory. We did most of the pulling in the first two stages, but Kump won them on the end. Today’s stage went around the lake and we had strong winds for the whole day. First from upfront, and for the last 80 km from the side. Seven raiders that were way back in the overalls escaped right after the start and managed to get a gap of no more than 3 minutes 50 seconds. Kolss, Baku were in the front… and with 17 km to the finish a group of 17 riders were formed. Rogina, Kump, Fajt, Polivoda and others were in there. Kump could take a easy win today, but they made a tactical mistake in the finish of the race. Radoslav Rogina attacked with 1 km to the finish, when he was caught Savitskiy (Rusvelo) and Kononenko (Kolss) made a counterattack and finished 7 seconds ahead of others. Kump easily won the sprint of the group behind them, so he is still securely in green. Still I think we missed a great chance for another victory. Tomorrow we’ll have 133 km long stage with Horse Class category climb about 50 km before the finish.”
