Finally, Radoslav Rogina is in yellow
Tour of Qinghai Lake continued today after the rest day. Shortest, just one hundred kilometers long stage brought the change in the lead. Adria Mobil’s Radoslav Rogina is now in the lead by two seconds ahead of the Iranian Hossein Alizadeh.

After all of the adventures it was about time to put things in order. Adria Mobil’s Radoslav Rogina should wear yellow for days and have a big lead, but the race didn’t went as it should. Organizers did a mistake in fifth stage and send Rogina on the wrong road to the finish line. Adria also has problems with Italian team Shoutheast that showed anything but fair-play couple of times and took back the lead that Adria’s riders gained with attacks. The race is far from over. There are still three very hard stages, tomorrow the riders will have to do 235 kilometers!

Radoslav Rogina: “We had three intermediate finishes on the today’s, 100km long stage. We did everything as planned. Guys did everything at 100% and I got 4 seconds of bonus time. Everything is easier when you have Kump in front of you in the sprint. I know that there is still a long way to the finish, and I hope we’ll have more luck. We’ll fight till the end, that’s for sure.”

Team manager Boštjan Mervar: “We finally got it – the yellow jersey. Nervousness was high in the last days, we are now relieved. Today’s stage around the city of Tianshui was shortest and easiest on this race. Intermediate finishes were at 25th, 50th and 75th kilometer. Radoslav got one second on the first one. Everything went perfect on the second one and we got three seconds. Now we are in the lead by two seconds. I hope we’ll have easier time from now on. Marko Kump was third today. Atmosphere in the team is perfect, this is also one of the reasons for such a great results.”
