Radoslav Rogina is the overall winner
13-stages long Tour of Qinghai Lake in China finished today with the victory of the Croatian Radoslav Rogina. Adria Mobil Cycling rider managed to cross the finish line of the final stage with the minimal lead, meaning that Adria won the first HC class race in the history of the team. Team also has six stage victories – five from Marko Kump and one from Primož Roglič. Marko was second on the last stage.

Radoslav Rogina is the overall winner of the 2030 km long race Tour of Qinghai Lake. It took him 46 hours, 53 minutes & 38 seconds for 13 stages; he beaten the Iranian Hossein Alizadeh by 3 seconds or around 50 meters. Next to his overall victory on 2013 Tour of Slovenia this is one of the greatest moments of his racing career. This tour is Horse Class category, meaning second highest ranked race in the system of the International Cycling Union – UCI.

Marko Kump also had an amazing race – he took five stage victories and green jersey of the best rider by points.

Team manager Boštjan Mervar was very excided after the race: “It was very hard to win this race, despite the fact that our tactics were flawless. Marko Kump was in the league of his own in the sprints, but we had much harder work with the overall classifications. Roglina was in the position to take the leader’s jersey twice, but always something happened. We were patient and looking for the weaknesses of the others. Radoslav Rogina was the strongest rider on the race in all of the primal elements, he also has years of experiences. He was waiting for his chance. This was the game of seconds, so he was getting nervous, but the team managed that he could attack on the time bonuses. We are all very happy to win here, we took this race very seriously, but also relaxed after already successful season.
The most important thing is we are all alive and healthy on the way back to Slovenia, we already miss our beautiful land.”
