Marko Kump signs for Lampre-Merida
Marko Kump will ride for the Italian team for the next two years – he’ll make a transfer after the most successful season of the team Adria Mobil Cycling. He signed with Lampre-Merida. With the WorldTeam contract he can now aim for the biggest races out there, like Giro d’Italia and Tour de France. Team Adria Mobil fully supports his decision, team’s policy is to enter the highest level of cycling sport.

Amazing Marko Kump is a cyclist from Adria Mobil school. He was a member of the team since 2007 and he had so many amazing results since then. His nickname is Arrow from Dolenjska (name of the region where he lives), which is of course related to his sprinting capabilities.

He was winning races in the first years of his elite career and made a name for himself. His talent was noticed by big teams, so he signed for Spanish team Geox-TMC in 2011. Team fall apart after that season, due to the financial problems.

Marko came back to Adria Mobil for 2012 season. After that he found a new team – Dannish team Team Saxo – Tinkoff. After two years of the racing on the highest level he came back again to Adria Mobil and had an amazing season. He took 18 victories, which puts next to the best cyclists in the world.

Marko Kump is an excellent role model for young cyclists in the cycling team Adria Mobil and to athletes in general. He proved that hard work will take you far. Not everything went to his plans, but he was always determined and was working hard to find the right way to his goals and victories.
