Gašper Katrašnik joined Adria Mobil

Gašper Katrašnik joined Adria Mobil
20-years old Gašper Katrašnik from Kranj, Slovenia, has joined team Adria Mobil Cycling. He’s one of the best young riders in Slovenia – he was fifth in 2012 on the junior European championships and seventh this year on the Under 23 champs. He also has one victory from the last season – he won Grand Prix Sarajevo in Bosnia.

Gašper Katrašnik transferred from cycling team Sava Kranj and is part of the Adria’s new lineup (Marko Kump & Primož Roglič signed for WorldTour teams). Young rider joined Adria after Jure Golčer, but the team is still not complete for the 2016 season.

Gašper Katrašnik: “Transfer to Adria Mobil Cycling is a next step in my racing career. I have even more motivation in the new team and new environment. I’m sure I’ll learn a lot in the team, that I will progress and that I’ll have good company. If all of this will work as it should, then the results will for sure follow.”

Team manager Boštjan Mervar: “Gašper is young, perspective rider. He is fast in the finishes of the races and solid on the climbs, which is a very good combination. He was on our wish-list a year ago and he could learn a lot if he would ride with Marko Kump. Now we have a core of the Slovenian Under 23 national team in our team. He will have great environment to develop in the top cyclist.”

Team for 2016 is not complete yet, this is the confirmed lineup so far: Radoslav Rogina, Kristjan Fajt, Jure Golčer, David Per, Gorazd Per, Domen Novak, Jon Božič & Gašper Katrašnik.
