Adria Mobil up against Bradley Wiggins
Hard stage race, 31st Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali will start on Wednesday. Race is a tribute to legendary champions Fausto Coppi and Gion Bartali that had epic battles and unforgettable duels in the fifties. Team Adria Mobil Cycling will go ahead Bradley Wiggins for the first time ever.

Upcoming race is the hardest race of the season for Adria Mobil. The team looks for some good results, despite they didn’t travel to Italy with full team. Gašper Katrašnik and David Per will race for the Slovenian national U23 team on Gent – Wevelgem. Team manager Boštjan Mervar is still optimistic: “We don’t have a full team for the race, but I still expect to have one rider among top ten. I expect that Domen Novak will be a contender for the white jersey of the best young rider.”

Legendary and charismatic Sir Bradley Wiggins will race for his own Team Wiggins. The idea of the team is to give track riders an option to race on the road races, but they only serve as preparations for the track events.

Lois Meintjes of South Africa won the race in 2015. Adria’s Domen Novak and Primož Roglič were 19th and 20th.

Team for 2016 race: Radoslav Rogina, Jure Golčer, Matej Drinovec, Kristijan Fajt, Domen Novak, Gorazd Per, Jon Božič and Matej Mesojedec
