Žiga Horvat & Žiga Grošelj strengthen Adria Mobil Cycling
Team Adria Mobil Cycling has signed two new young riders. 18-year old Žiga Horvat comes from Dankovci near Murska Sobota, 23-year old Žiga Grošelj is from Idrija. Both riders will try to bridge the gap after David Per and Domen Novak left the team and went abroad.

Žiga Horvat, until now a rider of team Tropovci, is one of the best cyclists of the golden junior selection that Slovenia had in the last season. Riders did really good on the world champs in Qatar, Žiga was fifth on that race. Adria Mobil Cycling is following him for quite some time and was on “the wish list” for the new season. He’s all-round cyclist that liked long and hard races.

Žiga Horvat: “I decided to sign for Adria Mobil Cycling because is the strongest Slovenian team and they have lots of experienced riders and staff, I can learn a lot from them. This transfer means a lot to me, since I know that I will get everything I need for my future development from the team. My goal for the next season is to get a much experiences as possible and learn how to race on the professional level."

Žiga Grošelj started his racing career as a mountain biker with team Sloga 1902 in Idrija. He switched to road racing when he was eighteen and continue his career with team Hit Casino in Nova Gorica. After that he moved to team Sava from Kranj, and he was racing for this team until now. Adria Mobil’s coach Boštjan Mervar was convinced by his performance on the international race Croatia–Slovenia, when he was third in the sprint finish in Novo mesto.

Žiga Grošelj: “I didn’t think twice when I got a chance to sign for Adria Mobil Cycling. Since I was a junior rider I had a desire to ride for a team like Adria Mobil. This was one of my bigger goals and now I reached it. I expect I will continue to progress and fulfill expectations of my new team. I want to get to the next level in my professional career and I know that Adria Mobil is just the right team for me. I would like to thank again to all my coaches and colleagues from team Sava, I couldn’t have done it without them.”
