Adria Mobil Cycling is Slovenian team of the year
Ljubljana Castle again hosted traditional event Night of Stars, where best cyclists of the year are awarded for their achievements. Main stars of the night were Monika Hrastnik and Primož Roglič, meanwhile Adria Mobil Cycling was again the best team.

Adria Mobil Cycling continues its domination among men road teams on the Slovenian scene. Team is in 36th place on the European UCI rankings and is by far most successful Slovenian team in the elite man category. Team’s young riders also won the Slovenian cup in several junior categories. Adria Mobil is also the most important organizer of the international events on the Slovenian soil. Next to Tour of Slovenia we also organized Grand Prix Adria Mobil and race Croatia–Slovenia and help contribute to the successful organization of Grand Prix Izola. Best women’s team is BTC City Ljubljana, and team Črn trn took the honors among mountain bike teams.

Man cyclist of the year is Primož Roglič, member of Adria Mobil Cycling till last season. He surpassed all expectations in his first professional season. He was amazing on the prologue of Giro d’Italia where he took second, later he won the longest individual time trial in Chianti. He continued the season with more great results on time trial events – 10th place on the Olympic games and 7th place on European championships were just confirmations of excellent quality of this very talented rider. When he got a chance he also proved that he’s developing in complete and all-round cyclist that can go to the top in overall standings of the stage races. Primož Roglič is also highest ranked Slovenian road cyclist on the UCI rankigs.
